Temporary Child Visas

Dependent Child Visa (Subclass 445): This visa is for children whose parents are holding a temporary Partner Visa (Subclass 309 or 820). It permits the child to stay in Australia temporarily while awaiting the decision on their parent’s permanent Partner Visa application.

Permanent Child Visas

Child Visa (Subclass 101): This visa allows children to join their parents in Australia if the parents are Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens. The child must be outside Australia when applying and must be dependent on a parent with one of these statuses.

Adoption Visa (Subclass 102): This visa is for children adopted from overseas by an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. It enables the adopted child to enter Australia as a permanent resident.

Orphan Relative Visa (Subclass 117): This visa is for children under 18 who are living outside Australia, lack parental care, and have a relative in Australia who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
