Training visa
The Training visa - Subclass 407 allows you to take part in workplace-based occupational training activities to improve your skills for your job, area of tertiary study, field of expertise or in a professional development training program in Australia.
To be eligible, you must

be sponsored

be nominated (unless your sponsor is a Commonwealth Government agency)

be invited (if your sponsor is a Commonwealth Government agency)
Nomination types of Temporary Work Visa - Subclass 407
Training required for registration
Workplace-based training is required to get occupational registration, membership or licensing. The registration, membership or licensing is mandatory to work in that occupation in Australia or your home country.
Training to Improve Skills
This nomination stream allows visa applicants who have recent and suitable prior experience to enrol for structured workplace training programs that are:

specifically tailored to the training needs of the nominated person; and

is concerning an occupation specified in the skilled occupation list.
